Blogspot
I feel defeated writing this weblog on ‘blogspot’. I had first started just HTMLing it on it’s own page, where I have a fetchdata function that fetched it neatly to the index page when required. However, blogging in HTML can be a pain in the arse. It totally ruins your flow when you have to manually put in your paragraphs. (though secretly, I was just ignoring the idea of paragraphs altogether)…
So I wanted to use wordpress, because I know a few people who use it, and it seems all nice and proper like, innit. However, I just didn’t like the look of it straight off, and editing the template looked waaay more complicated than I know it to be on blogspot - having used blogspot in the past.
What I actually wanted, was to be able to fetch my blogs and publish them in my current index page on www.transitofvenusproject.com by using something similar to a ‘fetchdata’ function, however I’m not really even remotely up to speed with a lot of web-stuff and while I know deep down in my heart it can be done, I don’t know deep down in my brain how to do it. It’s a bugger all right.
So here I am using blogspot… for now. Until I figure out how to make happen what I want to make happen…. At least I’ve managed to make it look quite similar to my website.
